The Paniolo Preservation Society (PPS) works to increase public awareness of the historical, present-day and future significance of Hawaii’s ranching industry, with emphasis on the roles and traditions of the paniolo. Members receive a semi-annual newsletter, invitations to Society-sponsored events, and special access to the archives.

Waiomina Centennial commemorative buckles created especially for us by Gist Silversmiths are expected to arrive in mid-July. Silver and gold plated, these buckles feature a steer roper and Cheyenne Frontier Days logo® and sell for $125. Ikua Purdy Maquette.Ikua Purdy - Fred Fellows, a well-known Western artist, designed a larger-than-life bronze statue representing Ikua Purdy roping a wild steer.
